I first met Grant while he was helping the Utsalady Elementary School Booster Club. His hands-on involvement showed me right away how much he cares about our kids and our local schools. I’ve also seen his deep commitment through his work at Freedom Park at Terry’s Corner. Grant has poured countless hours into this beloved community space. He’s helped maintain and improve a park that was built by volunteers, for the community. 

Grant has already done so much for Camano Island. He’s a longtime resident and he truly understands island life — the challenges of growth, water issues, emergency preparedness, and the need to preserve what makes our community special. Whether it’s fixing up Camano’s “gateway” at Terry’s Corner, volunteering at the park, or supporting local schools, Grant consistently steps up without seeking the spotlight.

That’s exactly why I know he’s the perfect fit for Island County Commissioner. We need leaders who are already proven in our community — people who listen, who work collaboratively, and who put neighbors first.
